Teachers today are facing a common challenge. While the world is moving faster than ever toward a tech-driven future, many educators have shared with us that they sometimes feel less confident when it comes to teaching complex subjects like Computing and AI.
At Creative Hut, we recently saw this firsthand during our LEGO Experience Day, hosted in partnership with Bolton Schools ICT Local Authority. Speaking with teachers from across the North West, one message came through clearly: there’s a real enthusiasm to inspire pupils, alongside a need for the right tools and support to make teaching these subjects feel more accessible and less overwhelming.
During the event, we showcased the new LEGO Computer Science & AI kits. We wanted to highlight that they are a complete support system designed to turn a daunting curriculum into a thriving, joyful classroom.
Why It Works
- Ready-to-Go Lessons: Each kit includes pre-prepared, curriculum-aligned lesson plans. This reduces the need for extensive planning around National Curriculum requirements, as much of the groundwork has already been provided.
- No Expertise Required: The kits are designed to be intuitive and accessible. With clear, step-by-step guidance and vocabulary support, educators can feel confident exploring the content alongside their pupils, without needing to be immediate subject experts.
- Engagement in Practice: It’s well understood that hands-on learning can significantly support focus and understanding. These kits help bring abstract or complex concepts to life through practical activities, encouraging engagement and those valuable “lightbulb moments” throughout the lesson.

Adam Morgan, Head of Curriculum Content and Training for Creative Hut and a former teacher, understands these classroom pressures better than most. He notes that the perceived complexity of new tech can often feel intimidating:
"The new LEGO® Education Computer Science and AI solutions have been designed to address this challenge directly, empowering teachers of all experience levels to deliver these forward-looking subjects with confidence. With growing workload pressures, it’s essential that schools are supported with solutions that are both effective and time-saving.
These products are built with this in mind, reducing planning time, increasing teacher confidence, and enabling meaningful learning experiences."
The shift in energy at our Bolton event was palpable. Teachers who arrived feeling apprehensive about the new Computing requirements left feeling empowered. They saw that with the right hands-on resources, they didn't need to be AI experts, they just needed to be facilitators of play.
LEGO Education is about more than just building models; it’s about building teacher confidence. By removing much of the uncertainty from lesson planning through the intuitive Teacher Portal, it helps educators focus more on what they do best: inspiring the next generation of thinkers, scientists, and creators.
