Inspiring future talent through football and STEM
Creative Hut is bringing STEM learning to life through the power of sport. Included in your bag are three activities that provide introductory examples of how clubs and partners can engage communities with hands-on programmes that build vital STEM, computing, and AI skills, alongside, teamwork and problem-solving. Through hands-on STEM initiatives, clubs can inspire future talent, strengthen community impact, and connect their brand with purpose-driven education – leaving a legacy that goes beyond the game.

What's inside your STEM Bag?
Tangible Coding Pouch
What it is: A screen-guided coding game that turns puzzle tiles into programs.
What learners do: Arrange physical tiles to give on-screen characters step-by-step instructions, snap a photo, and watch the code run.
Skills built: Computational thinking, sequencing, debugging, testing ideas, and rapid feedback, without needing teacher intervention.
Quick start (5 mins):
Open the Tangible app (QR/card in pouch).
Lay tiles to plan a route/goal.
Take a photo in-app to “run” the code.
Iterate to solve the puzzle, and discuss what changed and why.

LEGO® Six Bricks Activity Kit
What it is: A set of six brightly coloured DUPLO® bricks designed for short, energetic challenges.
What learners do: Complete quick activities that wake up the brain and body - great for warm-ups, transitions, or stations.
Skills built: Memory, movement, creativity, patterning, following instructions - supporting all areas of the curriculum.
Try this now (2–3 mins):
Memory Stack: Call out a colour sequence; learners build it - then flip and repeat.
Bridge Build: In 60 seconds, make a bridge strong enough for a minifigure - share designs and improvements.

The LEGO® Duck Challenge
What it is: A simple brief with a powerful message, build a duck with just six bricks.
What learners do: Create different ducks, compare designs, and discuss how there’s no single “right” answer.
Skills built: Creativity, divergent thinking, collaboration, and the link between diverse perspectives and innovation.
Run it in 5 minutes:
- Give each participant six bricks.
- “Build a duck.” 60–90 seconds.
- Reveal the variety, talk about how different ideas solve the same prompt.
