Product Description
The Vernier Solar Thermal Exploration Kit allows students to explore solar energy principles using a model of a domestic solar water-heating system. Students can investigate variables such as box color, light intensity, tube design, water flow rate, and heating time to understand what makes a solar water heating system more or less efficient.
For accurate measurements and optimal results, pairing the kit with a Go Direct Temperature Probe or another compatible temperature sensor is recommended. Ideal for STEM classrooms, this kit provides hands-on learning opportunities in renewable energy, thermodynamics, and engineering design, helping students build critical thinking and problem-solving skills while exploring sustainable technologies.
