100+ Think Big Spaces

100,000+ Students Engaged

Across 18 Countries

The Background: Think Big Space’s commitment to inspiring future STEM talent

The Think Big Space programme is a global initiative created by Amazon, designed to spark curiosity and build essential STEM skills among young people. These spaces provide immersive, hands-on learning experiences using cutting-edge technologies such as robotics, drones, virtual reality, and 3D printing.

Since launching, the programme has grown rapidly, with more than 100 Think Big Space established worldwide. Think Big Space exist in a variety of different forms:

  • Think Big Space: Fully equipped, Amazon-branded classrooms for immersive, instructor-led STEM learning with groups of up to 30 students, based in schools or community centres.
  • Think Big Corners: Smaller Amazon-branded spaces within schools that act as accessible hubs for STEM equipment, supporting hands-on learning in everyday teaching.
  • Think Big Vans: Amazon-branded vehicles that bring STEM resources and, where needed, on-site instruction directly to schools and communities, helping overcome access and infrastructure barriers.

The very first Think Big Space was launched in 2019, but Creative Hut linked up with Amazon’s Think Big Space programme in 2022. There was a clear mission from the start: these spaces needed to go beyond installation and become dynamic hubs of learning. Their role has been to ensure consistency, creativity, and impact in the local communities they serve, offering high-quality STEM experiences that truly inspire students and support educators.

The Challenge: Turning spaces into impactful learning experiences

With spaces spread across multiple countries, Think Big Space needed a trusted partner that could deliver programmes directly in some key regions, and support local partners in others. The fundamental objective was to help maintain a consistent standard of delivery as the programme continued to grow.

Through the Think Big programme, the mission is to make STEM learning accessible, engaging, and impactful for every student. By combining physical spaces with digital platforms, we’re helping young people develop the skills to think critically, collaborate effectively, and design solutions to real‑world challenges.

The Solution: A flexible, global delivery model

Working closely with Amazon’s community engagement managers, Creative Hut delivers sessions directly across the UK, Ireland and the US, while also supporting partner organisations delivering in Spain and Italy.

Think Big Space is designed to be flexible and Creative Hut has adapted its delivery to suit each of the three formats, ensuring students receive engaging, age-appropriate experiences wherever they are.

As the programme has evolved, Creative Hut’s role has expanded beyond delivery with the team providing guidance in new territories, including Germany, France and Sweden.

The Impact: Scaled reach, high-quality impact

Today, Think Big Space has engaged more than 100,000 students globally, providing access to hands-on STEM learning that develops both technical and transferable skills. Activities across the programme help students build creativity, communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills.

Think Big Circle has extended this impact further, removing geographical and scheduling barriers by making high-quality content available on demand. Click here for to read more about this programme.
